Newborn Session: Frequently Asked Questions
Where will my session take place?
I conduct newborn sessions in my brand new Midland Home Studio!
How long will the session take?
I like to allow plenty of time for feeding and cuddling during your session so plan to be here for between 2-3 hours. Throughout this time you may get hungry so I recommend bringing a snack with you.
Do you have props?
I have plenty of props for you to choose from and like to involve you in the styling of the session. If you have a special item you would like to incorporate, I would love for you to bring it along. Feel free to let me know in advance so that I have time to be creative.
Do my small (or big) children need to stay for the entire session?
If you have chosen to take family photographs, we will take family and sibling photographs first so that your whole family does not need to stay for the entire session. Most families choose for the mother and newborn to stay and father and younger children to leave after the first photographs are complete. This often helps the session go smoothly as the newborn has less interruptions.
What should we wear?
Neutral colors and tones always photograph well. Please avoid big logos and patterns on shirts. You might want to wear cool and comfortable clothing as the studio will be nice & warm for your newborn. And just in case there are any small accidents, bringing an extra set of clothes is always a good idea. For more detail information on what to wear, check out this blog:
